TRNG

R as random

The R programming language has gained some popularity in recent years. It is widely used for developing statistical software and data analysis but also for Monte Carlo simulations. Such Monte Carlo simulations require high-quality (pseudo) random numbers. Roland Schmid and Riccardo Porreca of Mirai Solutions have written an R package providing access to the TRNG C++ library. In this way, the R community gets access to »Tina’s Random Number Generator« library for generating (parallel) streams of pseudo random numbers. See the github repository for the package and examples.

Update: On Chanel9 there is a video showing a talk given by Riccardo Porreca at useR! International R User 2017 Conference about rTRNG.
